At the time of writing—early 2024—I have one lead-work from my PhD available online: Relating Chemo-Mechanical Hysteresis and Formation Protocols for Anode-Free Lithium Metal Batteries

In it, we address the question whether we can map one-to-one the accumulated experience of formation in graphite batteries to anode-free lithium metal cells. Specifically, we leveraged operando acoustics to compare a fast formation protocol with a conventional slower rate.

Personally speaking, biggest takeaway was that by using differential acoustic analysis, we can observe the morphological hysteresis at bottom-of-charge hit knee-point multiple cycles before it can be detected in the electrochemical signature.
